The Danish Pavilion in Sevilla

The temperature is high in Sevilla, about 45 degrees Celsius in the summer months. To create a pleasant climate in the Danish Pavilion it was necessary to cool down the outdoor air to approx. 25 degrees before it was sent into the building. The solution to this problem was very special. The outdoor air was drawn through a 12 m high wall of cooling coils, and then led directly into a restaurant. Computer simulations of the airflow inside the restaurant were performed to ensure that the extensively cooled air did not "fall" down on the visitors and create draught.
